David Skinner: CEO

David Skinner is the CEO of WhittmanHart Interactive, one of WhittmanHart's two divisions. Mr. Skinner joined the company in 2001 and has more than 20 years of advertising and interactive agency experience.

As CEO, Mr. Skinner is responsible for guiding the company's strategy and direction, managing WHi’s operational performance and measuring the company's performance against its business strategy and goals. Prior to his recent appointment, Mr. Skinner held the position of President at WhittmanHart Interactive. As President, Mr. Skinner set the tone and direction of the practice, ensuring the highest quality standards of all major work products, in addition to being actively involved with business planning. Before his time as President, Mr. Skinner led the company's relationship with Harley-Davidson for three years.

Mr. Skinner came to WhittmanHart from Young & Rubicam (Y&R) where he served as a Senior Vice President of account management, supervising such accounts as H&R Block, Jim Beam and Monsanto. In his five years with Y&R, he was also the Global Account Director for the H&R Block business, leading an integrated and multifaceted marketing team on such activities as advertising, direct marketing, brand architecture, ethnic marketing, public relations and promotions.

Prior to Y&R, Mr. Skinner spent 10 years working for the Leo Burnett Company in account management. In his time with the company, he worked on such accounts as Kellogg's and Samsonite, in addition to spending several years on the media side of the business.

Mr. Skinner received Bachelor of Arts degrees in advertising, journalism and political science from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
